You Helped Take a Trafficker Off the Streets

Your donations to DeliverFund are an investment in training for local law enforcement officers around the country to hunt down and arrest human traffickers and rescue their victims. We know that it is these brave officers who put their lives on the line to do this work and they need the best possible training.

We often help local law enforcement and other agencies with intelligence, but we can’t be everywhere. It’s imperative that as many officers as possible are trained to fight human trafficking.  So, it’s always exciting to hear about an arrest made by officers that have been trained by DeliverFund through your generosity.

From 2015 to 2018, a man named Marquis Holmes scoured the internet, and using lies and deceit, convinced three women, one with an infant, to meet him. At that point, he beat them, threatened them with violence, and withheld food if they didn’t prostitute themselves. He kept them as prisoners and kept all the money from the things he forced them to do.

In collaboration with the Human Trafficking Alliance (HTRA), a group of agencies working together to fight human trafficking, DeliverFund-trained Houston officers arrested Marquis Holmes. He later pled guilty to charges related to sex trafficking. He faces up to life in prison.

Thanks to you, this evil man could be off the streets for the rest of his life.

YOU made this possible. 3 young women and a baby are now back with their families. They are working to get their lives back. They are safe.  And because this man is off the streets, possibly for the rest of his life, he can’t hurt women and children… ever again.
